Malhia Best, LPC

Works with teens, young adults, and adults specializes in Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

I am originally from Arizona and relocated to Denver to attend the University of Denver, where I specialized in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I work with young adults, adults, and adolescents, with a particular passion for supporting younger generations amidst today’s challenging environment. Over the years, I have been a reliable source of support for others, drawing on my extensive experience working in summer camps and schools.

My goal is to support you by collaborating on the aspects of your life that you wish to reframe, helping you connect your experiences and behaviors to foster personal growth. In my work, I focus on partnering with clients to help them navigate toward greater independence while maintaining healthy relationships with friends, family, and themselves. I strive to offer a non-judgmental, open, and supportive environment. This involves using techniques such as journaling, cognitive reframing to challenge and shift thought patterns, and behavior activation to promote positive thoughts and activities in your daily life. My priority is to meet you where you are and assist in recognizing and addressing the challenges on your path to becoming your most authentic self.
